As You Like It Challenge #282 - Clean or Fussy

It's Thursday again and time for a new As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share your favorite, clean or fussy. For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot, your project needs to show your favorite and you need to tell us why you've made your choice.  That way, we can all appreciate why it's your favourite.

This week our sponsor is:

Honestly, I just love making any kind of card.  Sometimes I love creating clean cards and other times, I really have fun making fussy cards.  This time I have to say fussy.  This card doesn't have a lot going on at first glance, but it did take several steps to complete it and I loved the process it took and all the texture that was achieved.  There is the stenciled "wallpaper", the stained and glossed floor, the potted plants and the sentiment sign.  It was all such fun to create with Frantic Stamper Stamps and dies.

We would love for you to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Aloha,
Brenda

Little Red Wagon #752 - Congrats

Wednesday has rolled around again, and it's time for a new challenge.  I have to give credit for this challenge to Imke, tho I am hosting this week.  She is saying "Congrats" and is asking for projects that reflect that.  Think birthdays, weddings, graduation, new baby, things along that line.

I have a bunch of birthdays this month, so I created a birthday card using an image from Lee Holland that I scored during a recent sale.  I colored him up with Copic markers and die cut a sentiment from Frantic Stamper.

I hope you'll be able to find the time to create along with us this week.  Link up your projects over at Little Red Wagon.

Aloha,
Brenda

If You Like Snarky...

I honestly have had a tough time keeping up with things this year, so this stamp set will probably be getting plenty more use. This belated birthday card was made using Frantic Stamper stamps and dies; Stitched Rectangles (FRA-DIE-09640), Don't Forget to Flush (FRA-DIE-11055), Modern Birthday Cake (FRA-DIE-10814), Oh Crap (FRA-CL-179).

This card was very fast to create.  I did all the die cutting and did a little shading on the commode and candle.  The images were adhered to the stitched rectangle and the sentiment was stamped using a stamp positioner

Here's another snarky, bathroom themed card. Hopefully I won't have to use this one anytime soon.😉 Frantic Stamper stamps and dies used for this card are; Oh Crap (FRA-CL-179), Toilet Necessities (FRA-DIE-11056).

This is another super simple one.  I created the background by blending some distress oxide ink, unfortunately I didn't write down the color(s) and I can't remember at this point.  I kinda looks like a blend of cracked pistachio and salvaged patina.  I die cut the TP from white cardstock that had been covered with tissue and the plunder from plain white cardstock.  The plunger was colored with Copic markers.  The die cuts were positioned and glued and the sentiment was stamped using a stamp positioner

Laundry Day?

Friday is not laundry day at my (Brenda) house, but if I had a cute laundry room like this I certainly wouldn't mind it. This is a little shaker card featuring Frantic Stamper stamps, dies and stencils; Laundry Time (FRA-CL-178), On The Floor (FRA-DIE-11052), Laundry Room (FRA-DIE-11044), Navajo Blanket (FRA-STN-039).

This card was started by stenciling the "wallpaper" using Speckled Egg distress oxide ink.  Card stock was colored with Speckled Egg distress oxide ink and then die cut with Laundry Room (FRA-DIE-11044).  I created the little shaker element by cutting the "window" from fun foam and putting some very small bubble beads underneath the acetate.  The "flooring" was cut from brown cardstock using
On The Floor (FRA-DIE-11052).  You have to had detergent, so a bit was cut and set on the dry after everything was adhered to the background.  The sentiment was stamped using Laundry Time (FRA-CL-178) which was cut into a rectangle and mounted on cardstock.

I had a blast creating this card!  Be sure to check out all the January release from Frantic Stamper.

Brenda

CRAFT Challenge #714 - Inspired by a Movie

It's time for a new CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us this week in creating something "inspired by a movie".

Our Sponsor this week is -

I had the pleasure of using an image kindly provided by our sponsor called Tin Man.  This card was inspired by one of my top 10 favorite movies, The Wizard of Oz.  Like the Wizard and Dorothy, I grew up in Kansas, so it has a special place in my heart.

We would love to see your movie inspired creations this week.  Pop on over to the CRAFT Challenge blog to see what prize is up for grabs.

Happy Trio

Gosh, is it just me, or is this year really flying by?  I'm here today to share 3 quick little cards created with digis from the TCP March release

Speaking of flying, I used the cute little birds and their houses from Bye Bye Birdie Digi/SVG and the fluffy clouds from Fence and Flowers Cutable.

I put the images together and printed them using Silhouette Studio.  Then I matted them with the bright, happy Spring is Here Digital Papers.  I love that when you size the print area the paper designs become smaller in scale which is exactly what I needed here.  The last thing I added was the sentiment.  I used several retired sentiments from TCP.  They were stamped, mounted on punched circles and popped up on some paper scraps for a little dimension.  These little cards will be great for many occasions.

Here are the March release products I used today -

Thanks so much for looking!

Brenda
