Inspirational Verses

Hi there!  It's Brenda here today sharing a project I made a while back.  This card was created using wonderful products from the last Kennedy Grace release.  I absolutely loved the Inspirational Verses stamp set.  Here's the card that was made using a simple layout and some of the gorgeous Chantilly Cream sequins -

The verses were stamped on a scrap of watercolor paper along with several of the sweet little small flowers from Beautiful Bloom - Sweet Rose.  I got my watercolors out, dropped in some color and then fussy cut them.  I matted the sentiment on a scrap of grey cardstock and adhered the flowers.  The bottom mat was created with an embossing folder and a couple of cardstock scraps in appropriate colors were added on top.  The verse was layered next with the gorgeous sequins being the crowning touch!  Love sequins and especially these Chantilly Cream sequins!!!

I hope today's post inspires you to get out your stamps, papers and of course sequins to create something you love.  Be sure to visit the Kennedy Grace Store for the beautiful products showcased today.  Thanks so much for stopping in!

Whimsie Doodles

It's my turn again over on the Whimsie Doodles blog.  Now, I'm not much of a cook.  Truth be told I would rather do the clean up as long as the chef doesn't go to crazy with with the pots and pans.  With Thanksgiving here in the US only 4 days away, I would much rather share a beverage and a conversation with a turkey than roast him, so this little turkey stole my heart.

Here is my card featuring Let's Get Basted.  I think this guy has the right idea -

I want to wish all of our US friends Happy Thanksgiving and  everyone, a wonderful week!  Thanks so much for popping in.

Today, I am sharing with you a mini album I made from a file folder.  There are bunches of tutorials on the web that can get you started.  Everything in this release just works so well together and this is what came out.  Get ready because this is picture heavy -

Here you see Bunny from Time Out and Nested Hearts from a previous release.

On this page you see the new Wings CutUps and if you look really hard, you'll see the new Happy stamp set.  I've also used Small EnvieGrapevine Wreath and Toppers CutUps and Holiday Window Duo Dies

This page introduces the new Sent With Love and Heart Swirl CutUps from a previous release.

These tags were stamped with the new Time Flies and Happy stamp sets.  The tags themselves were cut with Holiday Window Duo Dies and the tag from the Popup Slider Cutable.

On these pages you will see the elegant Blessed and Clock CutUps as well as the cutie pie Bear and flying envie from the new Sent with Love.  The Thankful tag was cut with the Holiday Tag Duo Die from a 2016 release.

Here you see the Clock and Wings CutUps as well as a sentiment from Time Flies.  The corner embellishments are made using Scalloped Duo Die from a past release.

I had the best time mixing and matching all the TCP products.  It's times like this I wish I had one of those linky thing-a-ma-doodles.  If you have any questions, please just leave a comment and I will be happy to answer you.  The new products I used for this project were:

This last project, I did at the last minute (I'm having such trouble with the new Mac OS!!!) but I am sooooo glad I did.  It was so fun and not as difficult as you might think thanks to the new Corner PopUp CutUp -

This was stamped with We Three Snowmen from the October release.

And here is the wonderful pop up surprise using the new Corner PopUp die along with We Three Snowmen and the older Tree/Bell and Cloud & Balloons CutUps Die.

Whew! That's it for me.  Here's the news you really want...Release Day will be 11/23 and if you would like a chance to win a $10 TCP voucher just leave a comment here or on my instagram account (brendanh50).  The winner will be announced on the TCP blog and the Facebook page.

Penguins or Polar Bears

Hey there!  Welcome to a new challenge over at Little Red Wagon.  Heather is our hostess and the theme is Polar Bears and Penguins.  We want to see your projects with, well, Polar Bears or Penguins.  I have a bunch of cute PB and P images and the hardest thing about this challenge for me was deciding which one to use.

This image from DigiStamp Boutique won out (because I already had it colored up in my stash).

I know things are beginning to speed up even more (if that is even possible), but I hope you'll have a chance to join us. Be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have created.  Just head over to the Little Red Wagon and follow their links.

Peggy in a Box

Hi Friends!  It's my turn on the Sasayaki Glitter blog today.  Happy Weekend to all of you!  I love my weekends.  They are not all that exciting, but like Peggy here, I can usually find some sort of fun to get into.  Today my card is featuring Peggy in a Box (image 107).  She looks like she is having a grand time with her little mouse friends and a plain ole cardboard box.

Here's what I came up with to feature Peggy in a Box -

And a bit closer...

I used my Copic markers to color her up and added a few die cuts for an extra little something.  If you want to see more of Peggy in a Box, head over to the Sasayaki Glitter Store.  Naz has a ton of cute new images with more on the way very soon.

Thanks for dropping by!

A Few Tags Down!

I'm trying to be ready for the holidays this year ahead of time.  When I ran across this Whimsie Doodles Santa Sentiments on the What's New page I knew I had something I could work with.  Here are the tags I created -

These were very quick to make up, 7 tags in a period of about 45 minutes.  Loved coloring the cute little images and had fun adding a little extra interest with die cuts.  If it's tags you are looking to make, check out both the What's New and the Holiday tabs for more darling options.

Quick reminder, you have a few more days to join our October challenge.

CRAFT Challenge - Winter

It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us in making a creation inspired by Winter.  Thoughts of Winter bring to mind images of snow, penguins, polar bears and snowmen.  What do you think?

Our Sponsor this week is -

Here's my card featuring a snowy Wintery scene.  It was fun to create with stamps, embossing powder and distress inks -

Next time I will probably stamp my images with ink other thank Distress.  The wonderful quality of activating with water worked to my disadvantage when I tried to use Stickles for snow.  Thankful the embossing powder rescued the scene and I think it looks pretty good.
I look forward to seeing your take on our challenge.  Take a peek over at the CRAFT Challenge blog to see what my teamies created and to link up you own creations.
